Blackpool & Isle of Wight

The great British seaside in one trip — Blackpool’s Golden Mile and illuminations, then the ferry across to the Isle of Wight.

  • Blackpool illuminations
  • Ferry crossing
  • The Needles
  • Two coasts in one trip

Overview

Two very different coasts in one week. Blackpool is all pier, tower and illuminations; the Isle of Wight is chalk cliffs, steam railways and Victorian seaside towns. The coach carries you between them, and onto the ferry.

We time the Blackpool leg for the illuminations season wherever the dates allow. The Isle of Wight leg is deliberately slower, with a full day for the Needles, Osborne House and Shanklin.

This one is a favourite with families travelling three generations deep — there is something at each stop for grandparents and grandchildren alike.
